So I have always wondered about the banned words.

Why is it that "Retard" Is banned? Is it cuz most of the time you are aiming it at someone saying they are mentally slow?

Also, if retard is a banned word, why are "Hell" And "Damn" allowed? To me they are much worse words.

Lastly, why is it that auto admin doesnt catch cuss words sometimes? Like On occasion someone cusses and auto admin doesnt warn, I have seen people Fbomb and auto admin didnt catch it. is that a bug or did the warning message go on team chat for that player or what?

Hell and Damn are general expressions of anger, but not personal assaults. I'd even go so far as to say they are used in Church here and there. Retard is obviously an attack on an individual, that is capable of generating an emotional response, thereby causing game disruption.

The chat log does it's best, but I will not go into the 'why'.

While it might be said in the church, Hell and Damn are not used as expressions of anger. They are more often only said when quoting scripture, in my church anyway. Though I am sure in other churches they might use it losely.

So when you say "Damn you! Go to hell!" Is that not a personal attack on that person? You are wishing they would be condemned to hell. seems harsh to me over a video game.
