First British female PM, a lot of people loved her and then again a lot of others hated her.

She essentially destroyed the minining and steal industry and caused massive strikes during her term as PM. MT was responsible for causing divides across the social and economic spectrum and was all in favour of the rich but not the poor or working class. She privatised state owned businesses and was responsible for the larger companies making millions, increasing prices and not passing on to the public by reducing their costs for services.

On the flip side she had got enough jewells to stand up to the EU and other leaders across the world, managed the falklands war and had a competitive spirit especially related to capitalism and many of her ideas saved other governments across the world millions.

Love her or hate her she made an impression across the world.

R.I.P. - Great lady and a great PM, she managed the Falklands war well - a war in which a family member of mine served alongside Prince Andrew as a helicopter co-pilot.

Most of those party-goers (at least in London) weren't even born when she was in office, haven't bothered to research her and come to their own conclusion, and are just joining the bandwagon looking for any excuse to party. Pretty sad imo.

Sorry to hear the loss of a friend Haas, but I have to ask.. what were Americans doing there? I don't recall hearing about deployments by any of our forces at that time. RIP TM.

Cold war, dude. I was only about 8 when this stuff was going on- maybe it wasn't directly tied to the Britain/Argentina conflict.
