It actually doesn't dismiss a Warming Climate.
The reason why the past 100 years were removed (or considered 'bogus') were because the measuring tools (proxies: are indirect measuring tools for temperature) used were more focused on long term temperatures, too few proxies were available for 20th Century dating and the cores (which are a part of the proxies) were re-dated (by assuming they went up to the present).
Direct temperature readings were conducted since the beginning of the 20th Century that could account for short-term fluctuations and temperature readings (ex: Every Month). Applying this data with the proxies used, which show a more long term indirect temperature readings (ex: 200-300 years). These two forms of measurement are not exactly compatible and should not be combined into a single graph.

Does this mean that the current temperature changes in the past 100 years should be ignored?
No, as they clearly show more direct short-term and accurate global temperature readings (having thousands of measuring stations across the world) versus the proxies that only show an average/mean of the temperatures over longer periods and fewer locations.

Did the researcher screw up? Yes
Does that mean that everything we know about Climate Science is now wrong? No

I'm currently not able to acquire the exact research paper to inspect myself, so I'm basing my points from what I have read so far.

If this doesn't work, let me know and I'll upload it.

I think this article does a good job of explaining what's actually going on here. Anyone else have an opinion on it?

At the end of the day, I don't really care about global temperature change. Why? Because it's just another day on Earth in my mind. We're living in a relatively nice time period in Earth's geological history. I sure as hell wouldn't want to live in the late Permian(95% of everything died). The Earth changes, tough for the Human race. We adapt and survive, end of story.

However, that doesn't mean I don't care for the environment. It just means my thought process is different. I want clean air to breath, for everyone. I don't care that much about CO2 as I do about other harmful pollutants. I don't want us to cripple economies as we rush to fix this problem either, that doesn't help us. I'd love it if we all used solar power and hydrogen powered cars (I want this so much), but if we force it, then it will just spark resentment and hurt the economy.

So maybe the Earth is heating up, or maybe it's cooling down. I don't really care. I just want clean air for everyone to breath, I believe that's a basic human right.

In this day and age (with our economy) there is only so much a family can do to help the environment. There are things that help the environment AND help the pocketbook (cloth diapering, breastfeeding, packing your lunch in reusable containers.) (these help eliminate waste cause diapers, formula cans, and fast food trash add up FAST)... If you have more money at your belt you can buy safe cleaning products from companies like Seventh Generation, Biokleen, and Country Save. Seventh Generation also makes good personal care products as does Burts Bees and Nature's Gate. One way (if you have the money for it) is to shop at like a New Seasons or Whole Food store.

Recycling is obvious but some forget the other 2 R's - Reducing and Reusing.

you know, that reminds me of something...my university has recycling boxes all over the place and I know I might sound extremely ignorant for this, but there are some cases where i'm not sure how to recycle.

for example, if you have a sheet of paper where you printed the wrong thing, it becomes very simple and you just put it in the paper recycling box. But there are other occasions where it is not that obvious. There is an area where students can go and have something to eat (papa johns, chick file, salads....). In this area there are various recycling boxes, but i'm never sure if I should throw the pizza box in one of the recycling boxes or in the trashcan. I see people do this (recycle), but how can you recycle something if it is all dirty with food pieces? Same thing with the coke cups... they are all full of ice or left over coke and I don't see how the cup can be recycled.

The recyclables go through a cleaning process before or during the time they get pulpified/melted down/etc.
