Maybe, maybe not...home grown or foreign...Right/Left leaning, crazy or just pissed... The investigation continues. All kinds of reasons are being thrown out there (including 'A Tax day' protest), but the one I've not heard being discussed yet on the news or radios, is someone trying to make a point that he/she/it didn't need an assault weapon to to kill or injure, in protest to the assault weapons ban, to demonstrate how even a small device has the potential to kill so many, and can be made by anyone without the help of a 'dealer' or need of a 'license'. Just my two cents and a scenario I threw into the discussion too. Nothing more.

yeah, the bombs were made from pressure cookers, which is actually kind of clever...but I still think guns are far more efficient to kill people than a bomb, car, etc, but the bomber probably just doesn't want to get caught, so he/she used (imo) the next best thing.

and it could be tax-day related as well, as its happened before.(like when that dude flew an airplane into an IRS building a couple months ago in Austin)

Could all of you maybe go more than two days without assigning the blame to your favorite extremist group for political points?

I have been saying that for years. Find an oak tree and a long rope.

Eh, it wouldn't be a good idea. A public execution like that would teach the children of the victims that these things should be paid back with blood, and that's a bad mindset to get children into no matter the society. Kids should always be taught that murder isn't something that's part of their lives, or else they'll just take murder as a lesson and bring that with them into their adult lives. That's the way to keep a society like this from crumbling. Teach kids that violence is something that can and should happen to certain people, and they'll start taking it into their own hands to decide who those people are. It makes the problem worse than it already is.

Apparently not...

The FBI and Boston Police said no arrests have been made in the Boston Marathon bombing, despite widespread earlier reports that a suspect was in custody in Monday's deadly attack.

Too quick. Let them rot in solitary confinement. They're required to get a certain amount of social interaction while in there, but that just makes the pain even worse. Keep them in their for life, allowing them to speak only with people who despise them, and they might begin to atone for what they've done. A quick, painless death like falling asleep? That doesn't do anything but remove the person. They don't atone, they don't repent, they just die - and that's only useful when they're a threat. Someone who's already arrested? No longer a threat, by any means.
