I think that it would be a good thing if we kept the discussion relevant, rather than painting different sides of the political spectrum as monsters and idiots. I've seen a lot of people bring politics and gun control (???) into this, when frankly it's unnecessary. Chances are insanity is the primary cause of this tragedy while political agendas are tertiary at best. Everyone would be better off if we just ignore the political side of the discussion for now.

That is without a doubt one of the most ignorant things I have ever heard. Islam isn't responsible for this bombing. Two psychopaths, who certainly weren't living by the Qur'an or the Divine Path, were the cause.

Actually you're the ignorant one. Everything I said is true, and I never said that Islam or Muslims were responsible for this.

Who was being racists here? And they are majority Muslim. And on top of that Islam is responsible for nearly all current world conflicts, and you know it calls for complete domination of the world and killing/(making slaves) of all Christians and Jews in there holy book - so why would it be racist to make that assumption anyways.

They were from Kyrgyzstan.
"The vast majority of people in Kyrgyzstan are Muslims, as 86.3% of the country's population are followers of Islam."

"Islam is the dominant religion of Kyrgyzstan: 80% of the population is Muslim while 17% follow Russian Orthodoxy and 3% other religions.[70] A 2009 Pew Research Center report indicates a higher percentage of Muslims, with 86.3% of Kyrgyzstan's population adhering to Islam."

Chechnya is predominantly Muslim. Most of the Chechens belong to the Shafi'i school of thought of Sunni Islam, while a minority belong to the Hanafi."

...lol comon now. Islam is responsible for nearly all the current world conflicts? I would say you have stretched this a little bit 2 far. It might be worth you understanding in the world where conflicts arose, who was responsible and when this happened at that point in history. Some examples for you to review (not in any order):

* Genghis Khan
* Emperor Hong Wu
* Emperor Hirohito
* Alexander the Great
* Attila
* Xerxes
* Julius Ceaser
* Napoleon Bonaparte
* Adolf Hilter
* Stalin
* King John
* Idi Amin
* Leopold II
* Pol-pot
* Mao Tse Tung

The following could account for conflicts relating to Islam and it might be worth understanding why such conflicts arose. The way of life in many Islamic nations is that of oppression from the rulers which govern there and this ultimately causes revolt, so across the world today Islam is in the picture.

I am not saying that there is not hatred in such countries towards the west as clearly there is however a lifetime of propaganda by rulers have brainwashed a lot of the population to the evils that exist in the west. I am also not saying how treatment of other religions in such places is acceptable but there is little we can do about how things are run elsewhere. A lot of things are hyped-up to fever pitch but if we take a look at what happens in our in the country we live in then you have gangs, drugs, prostitution, slavery, racism, sexual offenders, anarchists, militants, terrorists all living amongst so let’s not forgot what's happening around us. The undertones of the evils in society don't come to the forefront unless we experience it first hand or see it through the media.

In addition to the above there has been many a leader/country that wanted to conquer and enslave others and the land they occupy it's the nature of who we are I am afraid.

Just because someone worships a different religion does not mean they are terrorists especially if they come from the Middle East. I work with people who are Muslims and no they are not going to blow me up. :roll:

1) Chechnya is/has become a hotbed for islamic extremism.
2) I will be shocked if it comes out that this was not clearly jihad.
3) Kren, this asswipe had friends and family that would have said he was a great guy (not putting your friends down)
4) How long before the media announces that one of the bombs contained an AR-15 that was purchased at a gun show?...

The only current world conflict that you listed is the Arab Spring were the Muslim Brotherhood (a known terrorist group) is in power. This lovely "spring" has made Egypt unsafe for Americans and Christians. Recently a main Christian cathedral was attacked by a mob during a funeral as police supposedly stood by idly.

Islam is a corrupt and evil religion. It actively calls for killing of "infidels" and implementing Sharia law world-wide. Jihad is a core belief of Islam not a radical element. That being said, just because someone is Muslim does not make them a traditional Islamist. I believe there are many "moderate" Muslims which choose to only follow the earlier peaceful teachings. But if you can't understand that the Koran teaches a political system of conquering, oppression, and killing then there is not point to continue this. I live on a University campus were the vast majority of people have been brainwashed by the liberal educational system. The belief that Islam is a peaceful religion is made up by the "elites" in University level education, which in turn due to the strong liberal connection to University education has spread through liberal politics as well. And again I believe there are many "moderate" Muslims which choose to only follow the earlier peaceful teachings (which needed to be repeated, because I know someone will take what I say and try to twist it).

And I'm beginning to have a problem with these moderates if they don't start becoming more vocal about the violent members of their religon.

They'd be beheaded or stoned to death.. you know, the most humane way possible.
PS. To those that never seen an actual beheading by some of them "extremists", it's not swift and painless.

This is true, and honestly they deserve it for whatt they've done to the world. They've given Islam a and it's not going to get better for quite some time. It makes sense that they get punish by the good ones.
