I work at an outdoor retailer and we have a lot of people coming in to pick up supplies for doomsday kits. We sell a ton of water purification tablets/water filters, dehydrated meals, lamps, stoves, fuel, batteries, tents, and basically everything else you would need to go live out in the middle of nowhere. Back in December it got really bad, just before the whole Mayan calender thing.
