Mod Map re-released

Postby ProfessorDreadNaught » Sat May 11, 2013 4:55 pm

Gamerz is re-releasing and server supporting the custom mod map Dueling Platforms. If you haven't played it before download it and give it a try. It has both Hero Assault and Conquest modes. It includes in atmosphere spaceship combat with unique ships and even introduces an additional villian character. Play single player or online, this custom map has some hidden history in it (easter eggs!!) and an homage to some of the best clans and communities of the SWBFII heyday.

Download and unzip the folder "DLG" into a folder on your PC. The folder could be in one of a few places depending on your OS and whether you got the cd/dvd or bought the game through Steam.

STEAM
Windows x64 for XP, Vista, 7 & 8:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\star wars battlefront ii\GameData\addon
Windows 32 bit XP, Vista, 7 & 8:
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\star wars battlefront ii\GameData\addon

CD/DVD install
Windows x64 for XP, Vista, 7 & 8:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Lucas Arts\star wars battlefront ii\GameData\addon
Windows 32 bit XP, Vista, 7 & 8:
C:\Program Files\Lucas Arts\star wars battlefront ii\GameData\addon

You may have to create the folder "addon" if it doesn't already exist.
You can play the game in instant action in HA mode or Conquest or multiplayer online.

I fully expect to see "narg is my best friend in the world" engraved somewhere on the map, and if not you will be reported to the FBI. Consider yourself warned.

I loved playing on this map back during the 2008 tournament, always felt it was really under used.

[04:30] -SR-Mandalore: That sounds super fair
[04:30] -SR-Mandalore: Do you think other gay couples do that?
[04:30] (SWGO)SWINE*FLU: I reckon so.

Too late...you already reported it.

Looks like something out of the movie 'Tron'. How do you install it?

This looks pretty interesting Dread, especially the Easter Eggs bit. I'll have to give this a go sometime.
