haas, if you want to test moderating a chatbox, you can come to the NH forum, get an account, and i can make u a chat moderator, and show u all the commands(the chat box is hidden to guests, only registered users can see it, thats why you would need to get account.) this is the link:

I don't like the idea of a chat box. I just don't think I would get used to it. I like taking my time to write new threads or reading them. A live chat would make the forum quite useless in my opinion.

Actually, you would be surpried, Otto. The chatbox does not reduce the amount if forums and topics. The chatbox Is mainly just a way of communicating, setting up matches, and, I use it for communicating instantly with my clan members. The chatbox would really benefit the forum. Oh, and like I said before, you can censor words on the cbox.

Except every thing you listed that it helps is obsolete to SWGO, because...1) We don't have matches and 2) We are not a clan

you dont actually do any moderating. all you do is set banned words at first. then, nobody says anything bad. and you could give anybody mod over the chatbox, becuase it gives them no real power. i give mod on my chatbox to like, a lot of ppl. even ppl that arent in the clan. and spamming wont be hard to deal with. its just /cls to clear the chatbox. or /ban (username) to ban. or /boot (username) to kick. really aint hard. and you dont even have to type in their username, if you click on their name it puts it into the 'box automatically.
