Had to use it as a PS2 controller and NOT a PS3 controller. Apparently the drift was being cause by the angle at which I held the controller. I may be able to play Leia again!!

the accelerometer is mapped to the same axes as the right joystick. you have to unmap the accelerometers in the default profile or switch to the ps2 profile which you already did.

As a general rule, it's best to use either PS2 or 360 emulation. I've never really been able to get PS3 settings working in the fifteen minutes I spent caring, so it's impossible and useless.
