I had to learn to play a 'recorder' with the rest of my 6th grade class back in 1974.

Not gonna happen. Global economy is way too reliant on eachother. And that isn't going to change in 10 years.

More likely we'll have a second cold war before WWIII.

That is exactly why it is possible for a collapse. When countries are reliant, or tied into other economies that are not stable, it destabilizes other countries, and that can be a domino effect that will ripple thru the world economy.

And as I said a recorder was never mentioned but if this is the focal point of your argument then it is pretty weak to say that this one instrument has a detrimental impact upon a youngsters learning and development abilities and that financial awareness should be introduced at this early age as a replacement. But hey if you think that's BS, take a look at the link below it might give you more of an insight into the importance of music etc:

All they gotta do is hit one blade just right and throw the whole thing off balance. In fact, we seem to already be there.

I wonder...If Obama decides to do a strike 'without' the support of the American people (let alone the Congress), if they will start Impeachment proceedings? Even if they did, that Lap-Dog Harry Reid will just shut it down in the Senate.

I believe the chemical weapons were used with the intention of bringing the US military in. I have literally no idea who it was, I just know who it might be. It could have been members of Assad's own hierarchy that want to see US intervention for one reason or another. It might have been any number of people and I refuse to lay blame on anyone without evidence. All I know is, Assad had no reason to use them, and we all but know it wasn't him without a doubt. Their use was way too convenient of a device to invite foreign intervention.

You are not the only one. A friend of mine brought that up, and I think it is a very reasonable assumption. Easily could have been done by the 'rebels.'

I was so disgusted at Obama for playing with the lives of people for political gain. I just lost what little respect I had for him.

Plus there is the issue that you could have radical Muslims start killing the many Christians who reside there.

Looking at all of this, it is best we stay out of it.

Look, if Obama and these politicians were really sad about the suffering going on there, they would go to Turkey, and the surrounding countries to set up relief for the refugees. Maybe cost us a 100 mill for decent shelters and food and clean water.

But we will spend billions on missiles and maybe hit some of our "targets", while racking up collateral damage. All because this president didn't know enough to shut his mouth. Red line indeed. Almost a 100,000 people dead before that, but this chem attack, is the red line?

Time to head for the links. Gotta go another nine.

This shows that the United States is willing to overlook what are widely recognized Human Rights Violations if it's in our interest to do so. Watch this if you'd like to see the context of the situation described above.

What would Josiah Bartlett do?

Indeed a red line has been crossed. Our intelligence tells us the Syrian government is responsible. It appears likely that UN inspectors findings will back up these claims. The United States, along with the other signatories of treaties outlawing chemical weapons and their use, representing 98 percent of the world's population must come together and condemn this abhorrent action in a effective and meaningful way. The objective of which needs to be the complete removal and verifiable destruction of these weapons possessed by the accused nation. Appropriate reparations must be provided by the governement and individuals responsible and disbursed in a timely and equatable manner. Additionally, those persons found responsible for their use against ANY persons ANYWHERE needs to be, at the VERY least, removed from ANY position of authority in ANY government in the world.

The universal means at all signatories disposal to achieve these goals is through diplomatic and economic sanctions. It is imperative that all nations impose these along with any other measures which may be appropriate upon any who would transgress with chemical weapons.

Further, any signatory nation who refuses the imposition of these sanctions is demonstrating their willingness to do business with these people and need to be subject to the same sanctions. Russia, China, Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea
