I’ve played over 1110+ hours of BF2 and can’t remember another clan having to resort to this kind of behaviour. This has just as much impact on the game as someone glitching. I just wanted people to be aware of the problem and if SWGO is happy with what is going on. I guarantee if someone tried it on the IJO server, not me as even dead I wouldn’t be seen there, they would get a lifetime ban. Looking at the SWGO rules it could break the following rules either by trying to recruit the players to leave the game or from what people say when no one leaves.

No Disruptive Gameplay
Conduct that impedes a player or players movement is considered disruptive. Any conduct that is beneficial to opposing team or player or conduct that impacts the flow of the round is considered disruptive.

No Disrespecting Admins or Other Players
Any comments that detract from the authority of an admin is considered disrespectful. Any comments that show contempt to an admin or other player will be considered disrespectful.

No Harassment
No name calling or belittling of gaming skills. A player must post a complaint via game chat or forums for an admin to enforce this rule.

No Bad Language
Language that has curse words or that is vulgar or offensive will not be tolerated on SWGO SWBF2 servers. Acronyms for curse words and evading word filter with characters are considered using bad language.

Yes Padawan is the ring leader but other younger IJO clan members have copied his behaviour such as Cheeseman and Rawler. As you know Burza’P I don’t like Padawan , if that was the reason I would have raised this along time ago. It’s because it is beginning to effect gameplay on the server and the number of people there. Why does Padawan have to invite players to IJO server? Sorry but there are about 80+ dedicated BF2 servers out there. It not hard to find a server to play on. When I first hosted/played BF2 I always had Friendly Fire on, but after playing on dedicated servers I got feed up killing my team mate, who always walked in front of me. I found FF on games to play much slow, that’s why I choose to play on JBA, Merc and SP. These have more intense gameplay and get the adrenaline pumping, although I’ve played so much my adrenaline hardly pumps these days. Players choose to come to JBA. Having someone say you should come to X implies that they have made a bad choice. SWGO or any other server is not there as a recruiting for Netherworld or the IJO clan.

Let’s make this simple. If you are hosting a party and people come and are having a good time then sometime later Jay say let’s go to Bobs’ party. He has more drinks and his parties are better. How would you feel? And is that reasonable behaviour? Most civilised people would consider it unacceptable.

The other day I had a superb game with BigLeo, Omega ‘Ash’, Unit_14 and CommanderGry. I can’t even remember if I won or lost. That was not important it was pleasant, enjoyable, fun and rewarding. All games should be like that. However, every time I see an IJO member in the game I’m waiting for them to start recruiting. Not that I need to play BF2 anymore. My only goal was to become number 1 on the Merc server, which I did with over 665hrs and 173000 pts. I just play for fun now, although much of the fun has been taken out playing on JBA now. Lucky I’ve got Life time membership to Star Trek online. :ugeek:

You realize that like 60-70% of people do this right? If the party sucks, you go to a better one. Just sayin.

oki GeeMan, maybe you are exaggerating a tiny bit in some aspects but overrally you are right. I'm going to ask Pad, Rawler(my bro so he won't do it for sure anymore) and Cheese to stop doing it[and others if necessary, just gimme their names], personally and if anyone will be making this troubles again I will ban him for 2 months[then perma]. Because what I'm going to say is a kind of a warning. K, so expect me to do it in next 2/3 days. Maybe you can match SWGO rules to what they do but it seems to be conning-no recruting just inviting but again, yes, you are right. Gimme 2 days. Howgh.

We must have more strict rules regarding recruiting for other clans/servers.
Since SWGO stopped active recruiting months(years?) ago... we must stop other organizations to steal our players.
We owe this to our loyal players who spend thousand of hours on our servers and still want to.

This said - I would like to know where our IJO members/admins loyalty lies. Will they work for the good of SWGO?
I used to be part of HiddenArrows, GFAQ, GMRZ(somewhat) and more but I always presented myself as member of (S)WGO.
Even now when SWGO servers are quite unplayable for me I try to do my best for the community.

Thanks Burza’P for clearing it up. Perhaps the SWGO rule breaking was a tiny bit exaggerated but recruiting players to join other servers is not covered in the SWGO rules at present. I know admins on other servers would not stand for it, it’s disrespectful to the Server you are on. But Bad language and Disrespecting players and Harassment is and these did result from trying to recruit players. I don’t blame your bro Rawler or the others he was lead astray by someone who should know better, and should be an example to other. And yes I’m no saint and don’t claim to be. I wouldn’t have raised this if I wasn’t 100% sure about my facts and that is why I left it so long. Padawn tried to get me to come to the IJO server when it was called “Hall of the Jedi Order”, I told him where to stick it. I never act in haste. That is why I kept complete chat logs of the days when I considered that recruiting was over the top and disrespectful both to SWGO and other players. I could then look at them in the cold light of day with out emotions clouding my judgement. I’m not bothered what people think of me, Noob, looser or a player with no skill. That’s water of a ducks back. I would have still raised the matter who ever the clan was. Although I not a member of SWGO or any other clan, I would still defend the server that I was playing on, it’s only right to do so. Asking a friend to come and play on a map not in the normal BF2 game is way different from going to a rival BF2 Server.
