Just found out he is severely diabetic (sugar level is supposed to be between 70 and 100, he's over 300). Dad and I have to give him insulin every 12 hours. I tookm some photos of him because I felt scared for him before we took him to the vet, he was ill.

So your genius idea for trying to help someone is to insult their appearance and their clothes?

For starters, do you really think he would listen to advice from some random stranger, nonetheless one across the internet? 9 times out of 10, when someone is insulted they instantly go on the defensive and don't want to listen to anything you have to say. This is especially true on the internet.

Secondly, if you really wanted to try and help him in life, you could have said something more along the lines of "I'd like to give you some friendly advice. While I don't personally have an issue with how you look, I know it will be hard for you to get a job if you don't meet today's standard of 'normal'. So stop dying your hair and trim it, and wear clothes more socially accepted as fashionable. You'll look more mature in the eyes of possible future employers."

Finally, I'd say I'm sorry he doesn't meet your narrow point of view of what is acceptable, but that would be a lie. I'm glad he doesn't. Anything to piss of elitists like you. Now don't come to me and say I'm insulting you, I'm not. I'm stating a fact. You are the definition of an elitist. You think yourself better than him by appearances alone. You consider yourself more mature (i.e. "superior") if nothing else, just because you wear different clothes and have different hair, and you want him and presumably everyone else to follow suit.

No, there are plenty of other reasons why I'm more mature, but my point was that nobody is going to get far in life looking like that (unless you want to frontman some punk rock band). I don't make the societal norms, so don't get angry at me. I just do what will get me ahead of everyone else...

"Nobody." Incorrect blanket term. Nobody means no one, zero, zip. Which you go to contradict immediately with a stereotypical role of someone based on their looks. Instead of letting people choose for themselves what they look like without insulting them, or as I said earlier, try to give advice in a way that doesn't make you look so freaking ignorant.

You enforce the 'societal norms' which makes you just as guilty as those who create them. They only exist because the majority of people back them. So yes, if I want to pick a bone with our "normal" society that makes you a part of it, subject to the same criticisms and emotions.
