Matthew was 9 years old when he was walking by the TV one day when Rush Limbaugh was speaking. He stopped and stood there for about a minute and then sat down in front of the TV and listened. When it was over he stood up proclaimed, "that's a smart man and more people need to listen to him. Let me know if he comes back on", at which time he proceeded to his room to go back to building whatever Lego empire he had going on at the moment.

Kids at that age are pretty bright and none are going to sit in front of a TV to listen to a political speech (probably due to their unspoiled intelligence) unless it's really really good, clear and concise. To this day, Matthew enjoys El Rushbo on the days my wife picks him up from school.

Anyway, that was the 2009 CPAC that he listened to.

This is part one of four, feel free to watch them all Pepsi.

FWIW, Matthew is a smart, perceptive kid. My wife and I stress to him that he is free to believe and feel how he wants. We encourage him to see the other side and yet he continues to see the common sense truth that is clearly in front of us all.

Rush Limbaugh is a flaming idiot. O'Reilly is more intelligent and far more moderate than he lets on but he panders to the far right for views imo.

[04:29] (SWGO)SWINE*FLU: We'll do it in turns.
[04:30] -SR-Mandalore: That sounds super fair
[04:30] -SR-Mandalore: Do you think other gay couples do that?
[04:30] (SWGO)SWINE*FLU: I reckon so.

Rush Limbaugh knows what he is talking about because he is Michel Moore, I know I watch Family Guy.

I am perfectly willing to accept what you have said about your child, he may be very perceptive and, yes, intelligent, and he is certainly free to believe as he pleases. I can only hope he forms his opinions in an informed manner.

That said, Rush Limbaugh is far from intellectually savvy, and I am incredulous as to how the man maintains a substantial viewer base. It saddens me to think that he actually seems to have faith in the ideological nonsense he touts, and I find it troubling to think of all who may have been adversely affected by having listened to the blithering garble emanating from his mouth.

Glad you are keeping on topic. :appl: If it is too hard to defend Obamacare, or the liberal big government approach to running the country, attack the fat guy that seems to drive liberals up a wall.
