Sorry Otto but this statement is one I've come across to often from religious types and I have always felt confused or pity for the statement or person suggesting it. The point of life should be obvious to most but as it seems not all. How about living your life to the full, having fun, finding love, finding a special person to love and enjoy your life together. How about doing something worthwhile with your time, helping someone or how about just trying to be the best person you can be. How about treating people fairly, how about learning new things and opening your mind to all around you. How about not worrying to much about how you got here and just try and do the above and have a good time while you are doing it.
I don't always get it right but that's how I live my life. I don't and will never believe in a god, but if there was a God I would shake his or her hand and thank them for making me an Atheist.
Thank you for this Sawyer - this is one of the most well-worded responses to questions about the purpose of life. You have made my day.
