Server Complaint

Firstly lets understand this Scopia:

We kick/ban for using bad language and names.

The above should be within the announcements on the server for all to see. The key point to this is kick/ban so it is up to the admin to either kick or ban for bad language.

It does not state we as admins have to warn people for their bad language, it can be done and sometimes it works whereas sometimes it does not and the person simply continues to cause issues.

People in-game have the option of not writing swear words and abbreviations of such words. If people did not want to evoke a reaction in-game then why spend the time to write such a word rather than playing the game? If you are spending time writing swear words rather than playing the game it can be perceived that you are causing trouble and not complying with the server rules.

So things like "fuku campers" is a swear word directed to people playing. Campers = players. Commander fox stated "fu". "FU" is an abbreviation of a swear word which commander fox used if I am viewing this right. If someone swears they can be banned for it by the admin.

For information "moron" is not a swear word. If someone acts like an idiot that can be perceived as being moronic.

Warnings can be given for behaviour towards others, kicks and bans or in the case or inappropriate language then a straight ban. Bans for me start at 1 day, then 3 days, then 1 week and so on. If there is a repeat offender who has been warned, kicked or banned or in this context banned straight away for bad language then the 1 day is skipped and so on and if someone comes back after a 3 day ban and repeats their action then they do not get the 1 day ban they next in the line, i.e. a week.

If someone is so stupid not to learn by their mistakes then my perception of this is that they are they to cause issues. I've no time for hand-holding morons (yep morons) if they do not have the capacity to learn and change their ways.

The better thing to do is to for an admin is to not become angered and frustrated by the players and take a step back, sometimes that can be hard especially if there are
a lot of players attempting to cause trouble and the chat is flying past but you need to do that.

The server is place to gather and have fun with others, spewing bad language etc. out is not a good idea.

I am now clear with how the warning and banning system works, i assumed it was something similar to the SotG setup with a procedure.

I, nor Lord~Nova$hadow spewed bad language, but we both got banned. Panama was spewing bad language directed at people?

This may seem pitty, but this is not the first time I have heard complaints about Panama, and just wanted an issue to be raised

Panama has never had his admin rights taken away for misconduct or any other issue. Other admins have and we have even permanently taken away admin privileges from rogue admins.

The words n00b and moron aren't considered "bad language" on our servers.

I suggest you not take other players issues upon yourself. Its SWBF2, players don't pay for lawyers and lawyers most often finish with egg on their face.

Since my first post I am less concerned with the other players, just the language the admin directed at server members and towards me.

I am not wanting Panama's admin to be taken away. He does stop rule breakers and is active.

Just feel he should be more careful with his language as an admin.

Moron is not bad language. As it says it is used for a person with a mental age between 8-12. Which it just so happens a lot of the people who act like "morons" are generally that age give or take a few years.

Ok, I will indulge you one more time. Where is this constant complaints against me? Do you have proof, or are you just hoping for it to be true? Did you not call me a mine noob? Now you're sitting here talking smack about me calling someone (swearing, according to you) a moron. Good enough for you to insult and call names, but a tragedy to me for doing so. Get over it dude, stop your little crusade to dirty my name, it was only a one day ban.
If any fellow admins think I was at fault and that I was the one to blame... and think that I have no business being an admin... I will gracefully relinquish my admin rights.

From what others have said about you in the server on other occassions. I do not have proof, I do not have access to logs. So we will leave that there.

The ban length is not a worry to me, it was because you feel as an admin you can insult anyone you like, which is not the case. If you called me a doushe bag, I reported it, so what?

I think you are at fault, but I do not think you should have your admin taken away (as previously stated)

n00b and moron are two words that you will see EVERY DAY on any server you visit. I suggest you thicken your skin as not everyone is going to dull themselves down just for you. Its never fun playing a game while walking on egg shells..

Point taken, it will appear I come across in a manner which shows I need my skin thickened but so does Panama, banning so easily which is just unnecessary. This is why I reported it.
