I have been wondering about why Whites are racists,
And no other race is......

This was his defense speech in court
After making racial comments in his comedy act.
He makes some very interesting points...

Someone finally said it.
How many are actually paying attention to this?

There are African Americans, Mexican Americans, Asian Americans,
Arab Americans, etc.
And then there are just Americans..
You pass me on the street and sneer in my direction.

You call me 'White boy,' 'Cracker,' 'Honkey,' 'Whitey,' 'Caveman'...
And that's OK...
But when I call you, [plz ban me], Kike, Towel head, [plz ban me],
Camel Jockey, Beaner, Gook, or Chink ..
You call me a racist.

You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you....
So why are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live?

You have the United Negro College Fund.
You have Martin Luther King Day.
You have Black History Month.
You have Cesar Chavez Day.
You have Yom Hashoah.
You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi.
You have the NAACP.
You have BET....

If we had WET
(White Entertainment Television),
We'd be racists.

If we had a White Pride Day,
You would call us racists.

If we had White History Month,
We'd be racists.

If we had any organization for only whites to 'advance'
OUR lives, we'd be racists.

We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a Black Chamber of Commerce,
And then we just have the plain Chamber of Commerce.
Wonder who pays for that??

A white woman could not be in the Miss Black American pageant,
But any color can be in the Miss America pageant.
If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships...
You know we'd be racists.

There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the US ..
Yet if there were 'White colleges',
That would be a racist college.

In the Million Man March,
You believed that you were marching for your race and rights.
If we marched for our race and rights,
You would call us racists.

You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange,
And you're not afraid to announce it.
But when we announce our white pride,
You call us racists.

You rob us, car jack us, and shoot at us.
But,
When a white police officer shoots a black gang member
Or beats up a black drug dealer running from the law
And posing a threat to society, you call him a racist.

I am proud......
But you call me a racist.

Why is it that only whites can be racists??

Prejudice causes people to distort, misinterpret, or even ignore facts that conflict with their predetermined opinions. Prejudice may have its beginnings in seemingly innocent, but misguided, family values, or it may be sown by those who deliberately promote warped views of other races or cultures. Prejudice can also be fostered by nationalism and false religious teachings. And it can be a product of inordinate pride.

It may sound like an interesting point of view, but that same pride is one of that traits that lead to prejudice. It's like fighting the fire of racism with a flame thrower.

The sad thing is that no one is perfect and as much as we might want to deny it it is impossible to go through life without forming our own preconceived ideas about people or a group of people. The best we can do is look at ourselves first and honestly examine our own thoughts. For me in my opinion the bible gives great advice on removing prejudicial traits, sad thing is that many religions skew the teachings and the message is usually lost. That's my opinion though so no one needs to get in a debate about it

I get [poo] all the time from family when I express my pride in being a woman that did it right.. never got hooked on drugs, never been arrested, got married, was married for 5 years THEN conceived a baby. They constantly think I'm talking [poo] about my family members who did it wrong. And its totally NOT what I'm doing.... There were many things that I did wrong... It took 4 times dropping out to finish my associates degree, I got disqualified from the Army, I haven't used my college degree for anything... well, anything that PAYS...I've done tons of volunteer work.

I just don't get it when other people shame you for your pride.... sometimes its not personal and not about anyone else or any stereotypes...

well, the guy who wrote that has that germ of prejudice there... but he is right when he says that the african american community has plenty of racism as well. What started as organizations that provided legitimate financial/educational opportunities for marginalized african americans slowly became into racist organizations. One thing is to be ok about your skin color and heritage and to promote the well being of others..... another thing is to go to some extremes that we are seeing these days, just for the sake of creating racial divisions.

No, that is nationality, and that is different than race. Similar, but different.

Richards speaks many truths in his statements. Like Hstar says or eludes to, we are all prejudice in one way or another, and often in several ways. It's either the promotion of 1 race at the detriment of another and/or the blatant discrimination of another that turns it into racism. That's what leads to people not being hired, being passed over for promotions, housing issues, and all of the [poo] that happened in the old days.

Interesting side note: "politically correct" was first coined in the old Soviet Union. It was meant to quash any free thinking that did not fall in line with the Party Line. Amazing that the left would pick up this standard and try to beat the rest of us, who do not agree with them, over the head with it.

Racism exists. And it ain't gonna get better the way we let ourselves get distracted by race baiters, like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. It ain't gonna get better by condoning racism from blacks towards whites either.
