CA Shaking

Woke up last night to stuff falling over. We had out strongest earthquake in over 25 years. It was unerving but thankfully we're ok. Worst we got was broken dishes and power out for an hour.

I'm only 15 miles away from where some buildings came down but as far as I know there hasn't been any serious life-threatening injuries.

I lived in Cupertino, CA and just got home from the Navy Base at Moffett Field when the big one hit in 1989. Sounded like a freight train was going across my ceiling. Couldn't stand from the shaking, and had aftershocks throughout the night. I thought the San Andreas fault line had finally broken apart and there was going to be a new 'West Coastline'.

Yeah I remember that one too. This one didn't have the force of the '89 quake but it was more a rolling one that went on for a good 20-30 seconds. Watching the floor in the house roll was unnerving. My legs kept shaking even longer after

Totally

Ever heard of earthquake season? Me neither, I'd hate living with yearly potential disasters
