I realised why they're called consoles: Because users need to be "consoled" due to their inferior gaming system.

Hola Shadow, They actually have the same specs as the "higher" end of most basic computers out there (out there being retail stores). 8 Gs of RAM, decent processors (for a console), and half to a full Terra bite of memory. They are basically "proprietary" computers. Don't get me wrong.. there are computers that blow these specs out of the water, but not bad for a gaming console. Just my two centavos.

Hola Pan, long time no play. And yeah, consoles have good specs; the PS4 has 33.3% more RAM than my computer, but a processor that's 0.10 GHz slower (on average). However, utilising Turbo Boost, the PS4 processor can attain a maximum clock speed that is 0.35 GHz faster than my computer.

And anyway, regardless of the specs, it's still fun to make fun of console gamers. :P

The actual specs are outlined below.

My Laptop:
Processor: Intel i5-4210U.
Processor Speed (GHz): 1.7
Max Speed (GHz): 2.4

PS4:
Processor: Custom AMD 8-core (custom made by Sony and AMD exclusively for the PS4)
Processor Speed (GHz): 1.6
Max Speed: (GHz): 2.75

Despite the specs, I'm still not investing in a console; I like having everything centralised on my computer, and I have over things to invest in, and if I bought a console, I'd have to buy a telly for it also.

I used to build my own gaming rigs and they crushed anything out there. I had an office and plenty of time for gaming. I only bought a PS2 because GTA (Vice City, I think, maybe SA) wasnt coming out for the PC for a year. I also had plenty of time for gaming.
Today, my business has expanded, I have twice as many children, no office, and barely get an hour here or there to jump on COD on the PS4. Keyboard and mouse on a rig done right will always be better than a controller on a console, but this is what I have to work with now. Dont even get me started on the advantages of dedicated servers... I think that may be what I miss most

I was gonna spend 4k on new gaming rig....but am saving money and buying
Samsung 4k 3D (Instead of Alienware).

Sure my wife may try to hurt me....but I'll move the key to the gun safe.
That being said....my sons Vincent, Sean, and yours truly will buy BFIIII
and rock out with our socks out!!!
