Sounds like you're not running the game at a custom resolution for your monitor size.

I did get the graphics glitch fixed on mine, however I've run into the same issue with joining a session as everyone else has. None of the servers show a ping at all, and none show any action when attempting to join. Wish someone would come up with a solution. I pre-ordered the new BF2. It would be kind of neat to have both games installed and able to run.

Had to buy the game again for $5 since multiplayer doesn't work with the disc version as far as I know. Managed to play a few rounds but the entire system was still quite buggy and there was some lag in game. Still, had a nostalgic moment loading in haha.

I'd be happy to hop back on it if it had dedicated servers. But not having them with the absolute tons of other problems the game naturally has made it a no go for me. I got my nostalgia out of the way in a couple bot matches lol.

Fortunately for you, several people in the community have already contacted GOG and their partner developer, and thus GOG are confirming plans for Dedicated Servers very soon.

I'd like to reboot it however if it is very laggi then I'd rather not try it. It was pretty slow multiplayer from the UK before so I don't relish it being even worse.

In the meantime I'll wait for the new game and the new film trailer...out shortly I understand.

I played a few rounds of hero assault the other day. Nice and nostalgic, but I won't be coming back unless dedicated servers are added.
