A number of EA services have been compromised by a hacking group, most notably for most of us Battlefield Heroes. If you recieved an email from EA stating your password was reset it was likely due to this issue.

I never use "rest" for a password. It's too short and just too obvious. I pretty much stick to "iwuvkren69".

Oh "cloud computing" is the next best thing since slice bread. Keep everything "in the cloud", it's so much better. Right up until some kids takes your "clown provider" err "cloud provider" for a spin and hangs your dirty undies out for everyone to see. Then you get the "oh so sorry" here's a worthless free subscription to a credit ripoff, err credit report tracking service. That's if they even bother to tell you. So far I am up to three credit ripoff so sorry letters, maybe this will make four if it was bad enough.

You'd think businesses would try and be ahead of the curve by hiring a true security advisor(a hacker) considering how many game related services have been seriously damaged in the last 3 months. But that would mean thinking ahead and spending money, OH NOES!!! Guess it just cheaper to issue an apology, have your stock plummet a few points, and look like an embarrassed idiot through the entire ordeal.

How the hell all major game service providers got hacked within one month.

Hiring a thief to protect your stuff is a good way to find yourself stuff-less. Security requires a holistic approch not an oh by the way one.

Hiring a security expert is THE best way to prevent security breaches. An example, Gregory Evans went to federal prison after hacking into major corporations such as AT&T, Sprint and Worldcom. He now runs his own cyber security company called LIGATT. Someone like Mr. Evans is what corporations need to hire, not some "IT manager" who read about it in a book. A hacker to fight a hacker, its the only way to do it.

That's because you haven't seen the stories about said "hacker" walking off with the HR database when they are done. Hiring a thief to design your security is a double edged sword.
