Okay i was thinking we could do Battlefield 3 instead Battlefront 2, I believe since BF3 just came out we could get hundreds of new members that begin playing the game. Also Because Battlefront 2 has [m'kay] Graphics and BF3 has better graphics.

We're STAR WARS Gaming Order. However, I do think SWGO could benefit from opening up a new division. But I think WGO supports the Battlefield games.

Ill be all honest in this all that seperates WGO from SWGO is SWBF2....
If SWGO would do BF3 even tough they were still supporting SWBF2 they could simply merge with WGO
From my point of view there isn't going to be a new SW FPS game....or not atm so untill then SWGO could either become multi-gamming, merge with WGO or simple do only star wars...
In any case ill be around here waiting for a new SW game and jumping in SWBFII from time to time

So basicly your saying we have to pick between a muture +16-18 Community and a 12 year old community?

I can't speak for all my brothers at WGO or anybody here for that er. But..... the above is not really correct. I'm not going to use language that talks down to the SWGO folks/atmosphere, but......

One major difference is that we do not make any effort in the WGO forums or in the game servers to ensure any semblance of "family friendly" behavior. With a few exceptions for seriously racist kinda crap, if you want to be a total [derriere orifice] to others via in-game chat you can generally get along just fine on our game servers. Our forums aren't chock full of porn, but nobody gets bent out of shape if a bit of it finds its way in there.

Clearly the way SWGO servers as admin'd and the forums are managed here, there is a different philosophy involved.

(more than Sev thanks you haas)..... if you want to rock BF3 (especially for the PC as most of us are doing that) and can be laid back about stuff (which can be difficult for some...especially the youngest among us).... you are welcome to come and squad up with us when you get a chance. An example of being laid back is being able to play in your own groups server and be mercilessly verbally attacked by some dipweed in the server and to do nothing about it except to ridicule them back (i.e. you don't go crying asking for bans because they upset you or something, and if you happen to have admin privileges you let your nemesis tell you how stupid you are and still let him play in the server).

Well fly that is true but this is what i noticed from all the games i played:

I still play the MMORPG game LOTRO, the game is rated at 12+ in most servers all "Cursing" is filtered and any cursing will appear as symbols
I still play TF2, the game is rated at 16+ language normally isn't forbidden except racism or disrespecting admins
I Play BC2 the game is a 16+ and in some regions a 18+ normally in servers you can swear all you want, as long as you aren't being a racist
In SWBF2 the game is a 12+ and swearing isn't allowed

So my conclusion is that SWGO forbids language because the game is rated at 12+ so the players playing it will probable be 12+ so hence the "family friendly" gamming
If you forbid swearing for posible children playing a 18+ game then it's really retarded cos 12 year olds souldn't be playing games like BF3(yet they will like dan said he will) but the characters and even the campain will already contain heavy swearing so...i do think that "IF" a SWBFIII would ever come and the game would be 18+ (unlikely) then i do believe few people would object to swearing....

What he said. We do consider ourselves and an adult gaming community but that's not to say that we don't have younger members, we certainly do. We just ask that there's no drama, roll with the punches and have a good time.

What I find interesting is that I've seen more bad language in Battlefront 2 than in TF2.

I think the maturity level of most everybody here is below 10 years old
