You mean Spark Unlimited, and no they weren't. It was a rumor that turned out to be false. The game they were rumored to be making turned out to be Lost Planet 3 not Star Wars Battlefront 3.

First I've heard of that, Wulf, but some searching confirmed it. It does neatly explain all the supposed "hints" people found.
