Here's a proposal, let's get some vehicle control measures on the table. Americans need to realize that they have no right to drive the cars they drive. There's too many soccer moms driving Tahoes and Suburbans around burning up the earths resources unnecessarily. How many times do you see one of these vehicles going down the road with only one or two occupants? It's a waste when they could easily perform the same function in a Prius. And what's with the dudes driving these big ass trucks that never haul anything? Again, wasted resources. It's selfish of them to get 15MPG when they could be in a Civic getting 38MPG, it should be a crime. Also, we should ban sports cars. No more Mustangs, Camaros, Chargers, etc. No one needs to go to the store at 100MPH, so why do we allow manufacturers produce such deadly products?

We definitely need to ban the assault vehicles. They are used to assault our environment and to assault one another. We must fix this.

I hate when i'm driving at the speed limit and then I have some ninkenpoop on a VAN right on my ass... then after tailgating me for 5 minutes accelerates and passes me. A guy on a VAN for Pete's sake

That's actually not a bad idea. You should write to your Congressman or Governor to get them to bring attention to this issue and hopefully propose/enact some legislation on it. If the government ignores your concerns as a citizen, then now would be good time to use those guns.

I totally agree that too many SUV's are being used just to drive to the store and they shouldn't be doing crap like that, it's quite disgusting, however...

No one is taking my Corvettes away. Dumbass drivers shouldn't punish a good drivers ability to drive sports cars responsibly.

The auto lobbies would be far too strong at this point in time, I think your idea is a bit ahead of it's time MD. I would be shocked if this discussion didn't become a serious divider in this nation in either the most recent generation or their children.

The problem is that you'll get all those people with an obsessive attachment to their cars saying "if you limit the cars I can drive then your taking away my rights" or "cars will be needed to aid in the rebellion once its time to over throw the evil empire"

I drive a Yaris. Not because I want to, but because I want the 38-40 mpg it gets driving 100 miles a day round trip to work. If gas was cheap, I'd buy a Mustang GT or Cobra. I've always loved 'The Stang' more than any car built.

if I had the money, I would buy a black mustang. If I had even more money, I would have a Lambo Aventador.... who needs Ferrari?
