You guys really do want to repeal the 20th century don't ya?

??? Say what? I'm sure you're dying to elaborate that one Matt. We need some home-grown American Capitalism jobs and businesses. And someone running the Country who actually understands how money and business works wouldn't be bad either.

Seriously, you all aren't even talking about the actual topic anymore! Every time a topic like this is posted, it is damn near immediately derailed into general politics. Then of course, nobody agrees with eachother, everyone thinks the others are inferior, and this same [poo] happens over and over again. No topic is too minor, is it? Even the most minor [poo] will cause your generation to immediately divide into party lines and start screaming impotently at eachother. Honestly, i'm pretty sick of it. The way you advance through politics now isn't by being soft-spoken and thoughtful, it's by being a belligerent jackass. For [m'kay]'s sake, Sarah Palin was almost the VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. Hell, the only example of this not working is Glenn Beck, who actually got fired from FOX News for it. Then again, he was going Charlie Sheen levels of [poo] crazy, so whatever.

For [m'kay]'s sake, I had to start yelling and screaming in this post, because the last time I wrote this you guys were too into banging your chests to pay any [m'kay] attention.

I'm glad for you that you see it this way, as the divide is really appalling. I doubt it will change any time soon, shame you cant just split the country in two then it wouldn't be a problem any more.

I have to admit, Nargotah is 'colorfully' correct. An example of the problems the younger generation will have to deal with because of the crap that's in-office now, is Senator 'Chuckie' Schumer (D-NY) conspiring with fellow Senators to derail the budget reduction effort by Republicans, by telling them to call the cuts "Extreme". Trying to make the other side look bad in the long run, at the expense of doing what's right, but also against the 'will' of the American People. How do turds like him stay in office?

That's real simple I'll sum it up in a bumper sticker (which liberals love) I once saw. "Vote Democrat, it's easier then thinking."

See, it's a matter of seeing this polar opposite.
I don't think Republicans are the slightest bit serious about balancing the budget, only about their ideological crusade against so called "big government" - which of course means programs for the poor, sick, elderly, and children. They do this at the same time as proposing tax cuts for the wealthy and business which will keep the deficit expanding into the foreseeable future.

You talk about the will of the American people, well two new polls out this week, both show the same thing:
78% oppose cutting Medicare, and 72% favor raising taxes on incomes over $250,000
http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/ ... story.html

The last official poll, Americans decided that Republicans should run the house and Democrats the senate. In the last presidential poll, Americans decided Obama should lead the country for four years. We have divided government and so the extremist GOP'ers will just have to wait for control of the senate before advancing the more radical parts of their agenda.
Politeness is a discipline that compels respectful behavior. Morality is like a politeness of the soul, an etiquette of the inner life, a code of duties, a ceremonial of the essential.

Because most of the American populous is just too [m'kay]' lazy to go out and vote for a new person.

Take the former president pro-tempore, before he kicked the bucket:
Image

Former KKK clansmen, here's part of a letter he wrote to the Senator of Mississippi:
I shall never fight in the armed forces with a Negro by my side ... Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds.

He served for almost 60 years - shows just how corrupt one can be to keep being elected, and the sheer ignorance of the general American public.
Keep in mind, this was the guy who was THIRD in line in the line of succession...thank God it never came to that.

Or, how about this old fossil?:
Image

He served for 40 years before getting evicted after failing to report gifts and then making false statements.
At least he got convicted...but it's a testament to the corruption of this nation that he's only the fifth senator to be convicted by a jury in our nation's history.

Hopefully people will realize that voting the same person in office for decades doesn't help change the crap happening in Washington right now sooner, rather than later....

Matt, that poll just like every other poll whether its from the Washington Post or Fox News is bogus. What Americans feel this way? Whites, Black, Republicans, Democrats, The Elderly? These polls are conducted with such bias there's no way for these polls to have any kind of legitimate sampling of the American people to know how and what Americans truly feel. Honestly, Matt the only people who truly love and use these polls are liberals.
