Bottom line is one man CAN'T make a difference unless he is truly extraordinary. He has to be a bigger than life character who can impress BOTH parties and I think we have now passed the stage where that will ever happen again. Bush did what he thought was right. Obama does what he thinks is right. They both still failed. "The people" have lost faith in both major parties. It's time to do away with party politics.

I certainly didn't agree with everything Bush did, mostly regarding the bailouts, but I respected him as our president. Obama is a clown to me and comes off as a silly used car salesman, and a second term for him could be catastrophic for this country.

Now this is what a real man does...excellent video post.

How do you know? Many Presidents have done similar things AFTER they were in Office, like Mr. Bush did in the vid you graciously posted. Thank you for showing a lighter side of him.
Sure, Obama may not go on a bike ride in 100'F in Texas for a day, but he'll likely partake in other events like charities, diplomacy etc. if he chooses to stay engaged after his Presidency. Until then, I will refrain from making further assumptions and see what he actually does when he's done with being in Office. We'll see when the 2012 elections are done.

So Obama being at the Pastor's Church makes him anti-American? Then you might as well call me a Muslim since I liked in Morocco for over 5 years... or a Nazi since I had relatives that partook in the events... What I'm saying is that one should not generalize. Obama may have different views and do things differently than one might prefer or think would be right. That does not mean one should demonize him by saying he wants to destroy America/Freedom/Dreams etc. just because you're at odds in what is right or what should be done compared to his view. Don't forget the 'Liberals' did similar thinks to Bush, if you disapprove of the actions made by the 'Liberals' then don't support these actions by doing the same things to Obama.

I have an inquiry. Despite you disapproving both Presidents, what points/qualities makes you respect Bush and in turn consider Obama a "clown"?

We may have our differences in several topics, but I respect each of you. I hope to come to an understanding concerning this subject and hope that in-turn I can bring an understanding to you.

One of my favorite quotes: "Peace cannot be kept by force. It can only be achieved by understanding." Albert Einstein.

I hope that the topic won't become a flame war like so many previous ones. Wishful thinking... :innocent:

Cheers

Hush KT, don't go start yelling at something you disapprove of. It won't solve anything and lead to another unnecessary flame war.

Cheers

OKay a few things i have to say here.

You can all complain about Obama all what you want.
ill make a little illustration about this.

There is a house, now this house gets a new owner.
The new owner has this house for several years, now in the end he moves out the house, and in the end he [m'kay]ed the house up.
It's half a ruin, but you don't know that.
Now there is a new owner, and he sees the house is [m'kay]ed up now this new owner instead of complaining about the old owner he starts to repair the house.
After a few years the house is still not 50% what it ussed to be before the first owner [m'kay]ed it up.

Now i'm a normal person and i go check that house i saw when the first owner had it.
Conclusion? OMG the second owner [m'kay]ed that house up, he is clueless and a idiot!

Now i see the same for America, Bush was so terrible there was even a song writen about him.
He [m'kay]s the country up, and because the next president can't fix it like it was before, he's a terible president.

I believe you just did Yan. Did you actually worship in a Mosque? Did you actually participate at Nazi Rallys or meetings? Pretty big difference of being 'related' to participants and just living in a Muslim Country, versus Obama actively participating at this wacko church Pastor's Parish, absorbing his anti-american crap while having no prblem at all continuing to be a 'Member' there.

Well MT...Just who did you describe?? It wasn't Obama! So allow me to rewrite:
Obama shows up at 'The House'..
He looks at the house, but doesn't know [poo] about what a house is, or how it works, let alone how to fix it.
So, he hires a bunch of 'contractors' (czars) who are not even qualified to offer advice, because they don't have the background needed. But Obama likes them because they are like him..and think like him.
They look at the house, the yard etc.
They give a bunch of wacky advice and say...Let's throw money at the problem, and not worry how to actually 'fix' the problem.
Obama agrees. Money thrown out the window. Has to land somewhere, right? But it's gone. Where did it go? Billions and Billions!
Obama says, well that didn't work. "We're just not as 'shovel ready' as we thought! Hyuck, Hyuck!"
Obama then decides let's just destroy the house (economy) and start over. It's easier.

Waaaaaaaait a minute. You don't want Obama in office because he doesn't know what he's doing, but you wish you could vote for a woman who doesn't even know which [m'kay] Korea we're allied with?

Anyone who thinks Sarah Palin is a good leader has their head so far up their ass it's [m'kay] believable.

At the very least Obama is willing to compromise with you hard right nut jobs, correct me if I'm wrong but the party whose campaigning on the fiscal debt of ou r nation walked away from the table yesterday, from Obama's 4 Trillion dollar plan to cut it which featured a mix of tax hikes and budget cuts (including cuts to the sacred Medicare/Medicaid/SS programs). That last part is what really convinced me that Obama places the value of the nation above his own political ideology, something I can't say about the Christ Carrots from the right wing.

[04:30] (SWGO)SWINE*FLU: I reckon so.
