I'd love to help further, Yanoda, but I don't think we've found anything major we disagree on yet. Still, just posting this raises the count, so I suppose it evens out.

Panama, any interest in addressing our responses to your posts, instead of just deflecting and backing out?

You mean just keep going around in circles? I really don't feel like going back and forth on this topic. I don't have the patience or the time. I'll add in my two cents here and there, but I won't go into a theological tug of war. Yanoda has made his points, and I admit that I'm not as articulate as him. He's got a talent for debating, while I in all honesty..don't care to. Remember, I'm the one that believes in God...and all I have is faith to work with. What would you guys want me to do?..tell you that I have faith in God and post reference links to that?

I can really respect that.

I'd be tempted to help revive this topic sometime, but as my mom is in the hospital... again, I don't have the time. I am also not as articulated as Yanoda, however I have a unique point of view on many things, and I do the best I can. I'm somewhere in between, I trust science, love it and study it, but I also have faith in my lord, whom I love and won't stop believing unless someone proves god doesn't exist. The universe has a set of very defined laws, and it doesn't break them. Someone, or something, created those laws.

I just added Yanoda to my Chrome dictionary. Welcome to my hall of people Chrome thinks is a spelling mistake! :ugeek:

Thanks for the compliments.
Though I am in no way as articulate as I wish to be. I still have more to learn.

So, to keep the topic going, I have another question:
Heard of the 'Talking Snake Theory'? What are your positions on that topic?
I found it an interesting read.
I'm pretty sure everyone will know where I stand on this subject. :whistling:

Maybe someone else wants or 'is willing' to answer/address the questions I posted last page?

or do you really want me to argue with myself for the next 45 or so pages?

Cheers

Could you clarify what exactly you mean by the Talking Snake Theory? Are you just referring to that section of Genesis? Like the rest of the creation story, it certainly shouldn't be taken literally.

Yes, he's referring to Genesis. And yes, I agree with you Crater, it shouldn't been taken literally. I always took it as a metaphor for the type of person the "snake" was. That is assuming the entire (or any of) Adam and Eve story is true, which I don't even believe that.

Yes it's related to Genesis.

Though the term has been used for satire (mostly, which is unfortunate), the concept is the same based on the idea that humans originated from the Garden of Eden, and the first humans were Adam and Eve.
I'd like the feedback from others as well.

Cheers

Some scientists came before God and claim that they can create life just as well as he could.
So God says "This I have to see"
Accepting the challenge the scientists bend down and scoop up some dirt "we'll start from scratch"
"Not so fast." says God "Go make your own dirt"
