I don't think a few billion dollars in prison expenses will make our financial system any worse. It's microscopic compared to our entitlement spending. But that's a whole other subject that I don't wish to debate on this topic.

As stated by a few of you, Gov't bans firearms, bad guys will not be affected..they will always have guns. Our gov't has a crappy record enforcing some crucial laws. Example.....war on drugs, drugs are plentyful despite billions of dollars alloted towards enforcing said laws. So, even if laws are made against ownership of firearms, we will once again spend billions of dollars towards enforcing the law, while guns will still be available in the black market....just like drugs.

@Dutch (aka Ted..still waiting for that name change), we lost all confidence in you knowing anything. Know how to spell and use proper grammar first. I will say though, you're getting better at it.

If you want to "redeem" yourself then post something that's both intelligent and adds to the discussion. I don't really get why you keep asking for us to let you redeem yourself instead of just, you know, not being dumb.

Redeeming yourself has to be something that you do YOURSELF!!!!

One thing I would like to see, after they confiscate guns is to inspect them and give them to the ppl that give concealed carry permits, add $100 on to the price of the permit for the gun. Gets money into the law enforcement system, and gives law-abiding citizens a discount method to have a handgun.

Please, if you're as knowledgeable as you claim on the subject, they say something meaningful. Stop repetitively telling us that you know a lot about guns, and start actually debating the topic with us.

Quick test for Ted.

Berettas are made where?

Hollow points are what?

Shotguns most common gauge?

America's most famous gun maker?

Most popular assault rifle of all time?

And i am very politically aware and opinitative, and have a lot of common sense for a 14 year old kid. Never judge people. See, dutch knows a lot about guns. And if you knew my age without knowing what i know, you'd probably be telling me to get out too. Be cool to everyone man.

You've made like 7 posts in the last year. Nobody knows what you think you know. And every 14 year old thinks they're more mature than the other 14 year olds, and they never ever are. And no, Dutch clearly doesn't know anything about guns, and if he even answers all those questions correctly he'll most likely be copy pasting them from wikipedia.
