PM(s) sent.

On-topic: Write the following 4x5 matrix in row-echelon form:

[5 7 2 8 9]
[4 4 11 2 5]
[3 6 8 23 12]
[31 6 9 18 1]

Outrider...

You were brought here by Wulf (you're part of his mod team, right?) to provide support in an inane and irrelevant argument about the name of SWBF2's engine. This is not explicitly banned, but doesn't reflect kindly on you. You used the name of a real person, and did everything short of outright saying you were him in order to present yourself as an authority. This is banned, as was said. Basically - start acting and contributing like a normal forum member, and there shouldn't be more problems.

Since you seem to be doing so already... Sorry, I can never get my head around matrices. I don't even remember how to do basic operations...

You are half correct. Outrider is a leading member of my mod team/non-profit organization Frayed Wires Studios(I'm curious as to have you made the connection, I don't suppose it'd be all that hard to though. A little Google here, a dash of close inspection Patrick Jane work and some educated guessing could work it out). I did not, however, ask him to come here. Marth did, I had no knowledge that he was going to do it until after he did so. Not that I would have told him not to do it as it were, so it doesn't really mat.ter.

I'm just really anal about facts (no mat.ter how inane they may be). Like the name of SWBF2's engine, or the fact that it was ZeniMax not Bethesda who attempted to sue Mojang (this isn't something I've had to bring up before on this forum I believe, but I have many times elsewhere).

Really it was much simpler than that. He joined on your side in exactly the same manner as Marth, he mentioned a few posts up that he's a modder, and I feel like I've heard you use the name "Outrider" in the context of your team before.

On topic - how about I attempt to provide a problem? Simplify the following into one term (it's much easier than it looks, if you know the right method):

x^6 + (6 * x^5 * y) + (15 * x^4 * y^2) + (20 * x^3 * y^3) + (15 * x^2 * y^4) + (6 * x * y^5) + y^6

Yeah, WULF is right. It all started after Eyes Only claimed to know Nathan Mates without presenting evidence of any kind (if he does know him, then I apologize), and he even fallaciously withheld any evidence he might have. To me, that looked like he was just making false claims. So I thought two could play it at this game and signed up as Nathan Mates and got into the argument. Again, I have mentioned it many times by now that I do know that it was wrong for me to do.

Anyway, back on topic. I made up that matrix on the spot, so it might end up looking very, very nasty. Also, elementary row operations are just adding rows to each, multiplying a row by a constant, or swapping rows with one another. And yeah, you could end up doing a lot of tedious arithmetic, and that might just be the case here. Or you can plug it into a Texas Instrument calculator (or Wolfram Alpha) and let it do it!

As for your problem, hmm, I feel like it has something to do with differential equations, but I'm not quite certain...

Fair enough. That's more or less what I meant when I referenced Patrick Jane, just looking at the facts hidden behind the words. I never said Outrider before he joined however.

Hahaha, that's [m'kay] great. So when I talked [poo] about you making a video game, I was actually laughing at you for bragging about something you can't even do. Well [m'kay] done, kid. Well [m'kay] done. You impersonated someone better than you and still got laughed at.

Heh, yeah... I do mod Star Wars Battlefront II (using the same tools that Pandemic used), however, and I wouldn't say it is very easy. I guess I owe you an apology, too, [m'kay]. No hard feelings? :O

And for the record, all Mr. Nathan Mates was credited with was programming. I, on the other hand, can do just about everything else (though mediocrely in some cases) aside from using third party programs to create new 3D models. The difference between him and me is that he's a professional, and I'm only doing it as a hobby. I still respect his work, though. ;)
