Gametracker Scoring

Postby Jedi Power » Wed Dec 16, 2009 11:43 pm

I have wondered for a long time how Gametracker comes up with their points system. I might play for 60 minutes and score 300 points. The next time I might play for 100 minutes and score 120 points. It makes no sense at all.

I capture plenty of CPs, kill plenty of charaters, defeat heroes, etc. the same every time. I could be the #1 player on a board with over 100 points for that board multiple times, but end up with a sub-par score for the night on Gametracker. Any ideas how to improve the Gametracker score? What I might not be doing consistently? Thanks!

I'm hijacking this thread, sorry.

My Question: On FFA servers, does GameTracker count the team kills?

I get plenty of kills but that doesn't seem to matter.

I've looked up some of the scores on the ffa servers, and the tops ones are pretty low, so unfortunately, I don't think most of those server do count TK's as a +1 to your score.

I know the old WGO FFA did because people had points in the thousands

So you are saying the scoring is rather random? Can't be. I know people like Doves, Pabs, Broz, Dad, etc. get in the game for an hour and score hundreds of Gametracker points consistently. There is something to what they are doing.

Gametracker can take a long time to update, up to a week, so looking for scores from rounds you just played often doesn't work out.
I can tell you that nobody can mess with the scores and everyone is scored the same, so it's pretty fair.
