It's all in there Haas, Proverbs 1:22.

Just to clarify my last comment; Christmastime can be about goodwill even though the date is based on religion. Trees, presents, elves, and reindeer weren't in the bible

Haas...everyone knows that the tree, presents and elves were directly related to Christmas, which is directly related to the Birth of Christ...'Christ' mas. There's no other religion that celebrates 'anything' to do with this season. But I'm sure, every swinging [Richard] Govt employee whose anti-Christ would gladly get paid for the day off to celebrate it.

It's impeding on the freedoms of the people who live there and want to put up a Christmas tree. While it didn't originally mean that, Christmas trees are now directly associated with Christmas. I'm pretty sure it states somewhere in our constitution about religious freedoms, and just overall freedoms.

I'd tell you more about it, but I flunked history. Not my fault, they taught it at 8 o'clock in the morning. There's only so much you can learn out of one bloodshot eye. It's like they're trying to keep that stuff a secret.*

It's in the common area of an apartment, though. There's no government of any kind involved - just the management. They're fully within their rights to block it. Why they did, and whether it's a good idea - that's up to them to sort out.

Alright.

Still don't think it's right. I wouldn't complain if there was a Menorah in the common area of the apartment, I'd welcome it even.

Yeah. I'm not saying I would have a problem with it. Just that they do, and they're allowed to. For all we know it could be a safety hazard of some kind.

not that I want offensive comments going on in here... but what he said was just out of line. Now lets see how some people say Dad is right just because he has been here forever... i'm wrong, and Dad's comment was very funny and appropriate. I guess it's hard for some people to show respect??? ummm??
